Learning Persian Language

The world's most prestigious institute for teaching Persian Language to international students is the International Center for Persian Studies (ICPS), also known as Dehkhoda Institute. ICPS, established in 1989, presents various Persian language courses for all levels of elementary, intermediate, and advanced, as well as courses on the history of Persian language and literature, history of Persian art, classical poetry, classical prose, contemporary poetry, contemporary prose, prosody and calligraphy. International students may apply for any of these programs. in the past two decades, more than 9,400 students from around the world have learned the Persian language at ICPS. Furthermore, the Center is a major source for students who are completing their dissertations. The tuition fee varies from $250 to $700 per semester. Tehran itself is one of the main tourist locations in Iran. It is home to many royal complexes built during the last two monarchical periods, including the lavish Golestan Palace, one of the oldest historic monuments in Tehran and home to collections of Iranian crafts and European presents from 18th and 19th centuries. Tehran is also home to the Iranian Imperial Crown Jewels, claimed to be the largest jewel collection in the world. The imperial crown jewels are on display at the Central Bank of Iran. The National Museum of Iran ranks as one of the most prestigious museums of the world in regard to grand volume, diversity, and quality of its huge monuments. Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art features works of famous artists such as Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, and Andy Warhol.

Sports

No student life is complete without a proper amount of exercise and sports activities. Students can use the facilities available at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, such as tennis and squash courts, football field, gymnasium, and swimming pool. These facilities are available to men and women separately on designated days. University of Tehran has numerous sports teams for both men and women in different fields, as well as the necessary resources and equipment to train and support its athletes. If you are skilled in a particular sport and would like to pursue your interest as a member of a team, you can compete for a place in one of the university's teams.
